Otto Hitzfeld

Otto Maximilian Hitzfeld was a German officer during both World War I and World War II. He was awarded the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords onMay 1945. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade, Oak Leaves and Swords, was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
